San Benito County Express provides convenient and affordable transportation service to the communities of Hollister, San Juan Bautista, and Gilroy. County Express also operates a complementary Dial-A-Ride service, as well as an intercounty service to Gilroy's Caltrain and Greyhound Stations, and Gavilan College with connecting service to the Santa Clara VTA bus system. The San Benito County Local Transportation Authority (LTA) administers and operates public transportation services in the County. The LTA was established in October 1990 through a Joint Powers Agreement to transfer the operation, maintenance and administration of County Express from the City of Hollister to the LTA.
